CEO's of Color started with a young man attending school at Gary Comer Middle School. Adeeb witnessed first-hand a glaring lack of diversity and student advocacy in decision making and the direct impact of that disconnect on the predominantly students of color the network served. There-and in many meetings since- he grew tired of being one of few members with any shared experience with students and families served.
Adeeb benefitted from a strong educational support system and success in advocacy, which assist him in navigating leadership in education with aplomb. His drive systemic changes at the local level but to many people- especially those with similar backgrounds-fail to gain the access, networks, and opportunities necessary to impact change at that level.
In 2021, Adeeb founded Black Youth Leadership , and educational leadership and consulting firm with the simple but important mission: Educate & develop cultural change agents that could make profound contribution to their school communities.
After, educational consulting BYL21 pivot it focus to entrepreneurial education with a strong mission to make opportunities for equitable education and strategic young entrepreneurship accessible to the community, while also striving to provide guidance to promote leadership and support the economic development of young people of color.
