The mission of the CEOs Of COLOR MENTORING is to educate and develop young leaders of color who can create transformative change for other young people, families, and our broader communities.
Our most entrepreneurial-minded students desire and imagine opportunities where they can create such change outside of the system, something of their very own. But every entrepreneur needs a boost in moving their idea toward impact.
The CEOs of COLOR , NFP is proud to offer CEOs of COLOR MENTORING, a program providing CEOs of COLOR MENTEES with the resources and start-up support to build out their ventures, and affect the change they seek.
Opportunity: CEOs of COLOR offers participants an opportunity to close the gap between ideas, business-preparedness, and implementation. Getting started is always the hardest part, and there are so many factors and intricate in-and-outs to making our dreams a reality. A successful business venture needs to begin from a place of knowledge, confidence, and support. This is where the CECs Mentoring program comes in.
Support: CEOs of COLOR is a seven-month long program with a cohort of young CEOs. Individual participants or teams will be guided and supported in business essentials such as strategic planning, financial understanding, operational training, and marketing insight. They will be matched with executive coaches with entrepreneurship experience. They will also gain tailored support for each entrepreneurial enterprise.
Confidence: At the end of the program, each participant or team will present their business proposals to an investment committee. This public showcase is more than just a “test drive” of a student's concept, but an opportunity for real investment, as well as a place to make connections with investors and connectors with regional, national, and even global reach.
Someday is Now: For those students dreaming about a way to turn their Capstone or Freedom Dreams project into reality, this is your chance. For those who have wanted support to workshop their idea, this is the place. For those who want to focus and be held accountable to pursuing your dream, this is the time.

LEARN FROM MINE:
High-profile leaders within entrepreneurship and other industries are faculty members and mentors to the network of CEOs of COLOR MENTORING. Every session is packed with content, including everything from personal development , branding to change management in finance , led by experts of color with decades of professional experience.
EXECUTIVE MENTORING:
CEOs of COLOR intentionally connects emerging leaders of color with mentors that they can connect with and learn from. Each member is paired with their executive mentor for eight months. Mentors support transformative growth , developing a great connection with the student and understanding of each student's needs and wants.
THE SALE:
As a key milestone in the mentoring experience, “ THE SALE” presentation ranks high. This is each CEO’s culminating work that dives into a major project he or she hopes to accomplish and allows them to use the tools and skills gained throughout the program to form a vision and strategy, presenting their plan to expert judges and a room full of supporters.
THE SALE ABOUT US:
“ The SALE” is the business plan that each CEO will be required to create at the end of the eight month program. This will allow them to understand the importance of strategic planning and setting a clear vision for an organization.
